Like most people, I’m still trying to recover from turkey, starches, and desserts from Thursday’s festivities. For that reason, I am thankful for the meal that I was able to prepare and provide for my family.
I recognize that many people go hungry daily and often struggle for the bare minimum. I pray for these people (especially hungry children) with the intention that they cross paths with compassionate people that are willing to extend a hand or hospitality to them and not overlook their need for food.
I am also especially thankful for having a family with whom to share the holidays. Many times we give our loved ones a bad wrap but think about how different (perhaps even empty) our lives would be without them.
I am also thankful for pretty flowers – they have such a positive effect on me.
As always: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
– 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Peace and blessings.
